Cylinder gown in black coated stretch denim from Rick Owens FW24 Porterville. This cylinder gown is floor length. It features a draped top with high cowl neck, and wide, sail-like, shoulders and an asymmetrical v neck at back. It has a tight fitting skirt which tapers slightly to the ankle, with a high centre back split, and exposed zipper closure. This lightweight stretch denim is covered with a semi-shiny and soft coating. The indigo color and structure of the denim shines through the color of the coating creating a multilayered and irregular coloration.
The natural aspects of this fabric means the coating has peeled off in certain areas, exposing the underlaying material and will continue to do so with wear and abrasion. This is an inherent characteristic of this type of treatment and is a desired a visual aspect which adds to the uniqueness of each piece and should not be considered a defect.
