LUNA GOWN

Luna gown in black chalk stretch denim from Rick Owens FW24 Porterville runway. This luna gown is trailing floor length and has a close-to-the-body fit with long sleeves and zippered cuffs. It has a boat neck, level shoulder seams and an open back. It features a signature geo seam running across the front chest and slanting diagonally down the side body, and seams curving over the hips and down the front leg to the hem. It flares into a fishtail train with a godet at centre back and secures with a centre back zip. This version is fully lined with two internal zipped pockets.

This lightweight stretch denim is covered with a matte and dry chalk coating. The indigo color and structure of the denim shines through the color of the coating creating a multilayered and irregular coloration.

The natural aspects of this fabric means the coating has peeled off in certain areas, exposing the underlaying material and will continue to do so with wear and abrasion. This is an inherent characteristic of this type of treatment and is a desired a visual aspect which adds to the uniqueness of each piece and should not be considered a defect.
