DRAPED SKIRT

Draped skirt in black chalk stretch denim from Rick Owens FW24 Porterville runway. This draped skirt is floor length with a tight fit. It has a high waist with a back zipper, and tapered skirt that flares from the knee, with a godet in the centre back seam. It features a draped outer layer that is designed to be worn, sweeping from the back, folding across the front, and ending in a point on the right thigh.

This lightweight stretch denim is covered with a matte and dry chalk coating. The indigo color and structure of the denim shines through the color of the coating creating a multilayered and irregular coloration.

The natural aspects of this fabric means the coating has peeled off in certain areas, exposing the underlaying material and will continue to do so with wear and abrasion. This is an inherent characteristic of this type of treatment and is a desired a visual aspect which adds to the uniqueness of each piece and should not be considered a defect.
